One of travolta's best - Grease Reviews

John Travolta used to have it all. He used to be skinny, handsome, and used to make all the right movie decisions. However, that time came and went. Now he is fat, old, and making all the wrong movie decisions. There are two movies he made that will never be forgotten: Grease and Saturday Night Fever, both very good movies. Grease is similar to Rogers and Hammerstein?s Oklahoma! It tells about multiple love stories. But the difference is the love stories in Grease are better then that of Oklahoma! Grease tells the story of Danny (John Travolta), a greaser. He meets a beautiful young Australian girl named Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) over the summer and has a day of passion with her. She then returns to Australia, leaving Danny wherever he is. First day of High School. Turns out Sandy made a transfer and stayed in Danny?s town, unbeknownst to him, but beknowst to us. Of course they meet again, but Danny, being a greaser, acts like an ***** and gets her made at him. She likes and dislikes on and off throughout the entire film, while other stories intertwine around theirs. Overall, I must say I like it. It had excellent songs that keep running through my head and making me want to dance. My favorites: Summer Nights, Greased Lightning, You?re the one that I Want, and Look at me (I?m Sandra Dee). The whole purpose of the movie was to retell High School in the ?50s, but since I wasn?t alive at that time, I wouldn?t know. It probably did a good job, though. Really, there?s not much else to say, except that everyone would love this movie. Trust me. Especially those who love musicals or rock n? roll.
